I got this for Christmas a couple years ago and I unironically love it. Any father in your life needs one, trust me. Hell, any household could use one. This is my most fervent suburbanite advice.

I learned a bunch of words from playing Final Fantasy on NES, and now, years later, my son is doing the same thing with Pokémon. Language in games doesn't need to be so dumbed down.
there is almost no feedback I will reflexively ignore as a game developer but “you shouldn’t name something X because people don’t know that word” is one of them. oh no! You might learn a new word! God forbid you take away a piece of knowledge from a game that’s not a brand of gun or some shit lol

Real dick move by Google here: if you turn off these invasive Gemini features, suddenly you lose access to the Updates, Promotions, and Social tabs too - basic functionality that has existed for a long time.
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."
There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

25 years ago I begged my dad to let me rent Final Fantasy IX, after reading about it for months in magazines. He finally caved so long as I didn’t get too far if I still wanted to get it for Christmas.
