It's like Snyder's dickships in Man of Steel. I can't imagine any review not having to have an "oh yeah, everything looks like an art nouveau beefcrease" moment. It's so absurdly obvious, I feel like a maniac for pointing it out.

Though I would begrudgingly accept a reference to Lucifer Box.

It's been a while, I admit.

But it wasn't Into the GatissMoffatverse, with references to Jekyll, and Coupling, and Royston Vasey.

My view is if I can engage with something without doing "homework", I have a far higher view of it from the off than something I need to have watched two films, a tie-in series and a Fortnite event to actually understand.

I'm still, to this day, surprised that Moffat and Gatiss didn't try to sneak a link to Sherlock in their Dracula miniseries. Who knows, maybe that would have been the post-credits for the season two finale.

That was a fun theory! And like most fan ideas, it is best when it's an idea shared and tinkered with by fans. Treating it as a blueprint for your next media juggernaut is fucking lunacy.

Given how well Barbie did, I'd say there's even money on a Mattel-verse.

The Dread Spectre of Continuity now means everything has to link like an Ouroboros swallowing its own nuts. Nothing can just be its own thing. Everything is a Franchise.

Take James Bond. We were fine for over 40 fucking years just assuming they were films unto themselves. They had the rare cheeky nod to what came before (OHMSS was perhaps the worst for this), but stood apart as singular films.

Orange is just one of those colours. I've yet to find one where the pigment isn't so thin. Airbrushing helps, to an extent, but you're still just going to be doing lots and lots of thin coats.

Good luck with the orange. That'll need a few coats.
