I should maybe attempt to try posting some of the pics I took during my week in Harrogate for Thought Bubble! One highlight of our extended stay was a day trip out to Leeds. I remain gutted I missed OK Comics, but I still had a nice time!

Argonaut is my local, and is the best bookshop I've ever been near. They're lovely people who care about what they do, know the tastes of their regulars, and have been nothing but supportive of me and my work. Waterstones can fuck right off.
Waterstones to open about 100m from Argonaut, a particularly nice indie bookshop. Quote from Waterstones management makes it sound like they got Argonaut mixed up with the gaming café next door.

I get why a lot of non-disabled people want to pretend respiratory illnesses don’t exist, but as we’re coming up on another event I can’t safely attend, I encourage you to just THINK about wearing a mask at events - or at least on the train/ plane there, where there’s probably no reason not to

Thought Bubble is next weekend! Really excited, but please please wear a mask - i see fewer & fewer each year, and COVID is just as serious as it was 5 years ago. TB is an amazing event, but it’s not worth getting disabled or immunocompromised.

A quick reminder that i have a weirdish dark fantasy novel available on Audible.

And, despite the shocked Pikachu reviews about being woke cannibal erotica, it is a) queer and b) not a YA ;)

Can we use a prescription as a base for a SFFH story? What about a receipt? A parking ticket? A nursery rhyme? How many 'other' forms of writing could we harness to enrich our writing practice?
