I cannot even begin to express my rage at this lie

reading this through me back into my pandemic EMT life, attempting to resuscitate a child experiencing a cardiac arrest secondary to COVID while a father says “we heard that the vaccine was riskier than COVID for kids” and a mother wails in agony
NEW: The F.D.A. announced in an internal memo that 10 children died "because of" the Covid shot. Other experts want to see proof.

“This is a profound revelation,” Dr. Prasad's memo said. “For the first time, the U.S. F.D.A. will acknowledge that Covid-19 vaccines have killed American children.”

I recently reviewed a pt who had anaphylaxis to atracurium (30 years ago), and was also found to be allergic to vecuroniun (skin test).

She will require another GA for a cardiac procedure.

Would you:
- give Roc?
- give Cis-atracurium?
- refer to allergy clinic?
- avoid relaxants altogether?

This weeks #MedSkyDebate was a clinical dilemma I encountered recently.
Is it safe to use spinal anaesthesia for someone with a history of Guillain Barre Syndrome?
I thought no but there is a study that disputes this.
What do you think?

Dear parents - Yes you can give your sick child paracetamol if they’re >3 months old. It’s an excellent painkiller. It brings down a high temperature. It’s one of the safest drugs available. You are right to want to soothe your child’s distress. Evidence supports your good parenting. Be confident.
