This is horrific! It's absolutely inexcusable to arrest a 5 year old child!

🤔I just have a few questions... what if the child is Black though? Is it still cruel?

Is it also cruel to send Black kids as young as 7 to juvenile detention facilities in other states, so that their moms can't even visit?

don’t feed ICE don’t house ICE don’t sell ICE gas don’t offer ICE medical treatment there should be no quarter for ICE
ICE agents eat at small-town Mexican restaurant — then detain workers
“Would your mama be proud of you right now?” a bystander said as agents returned at closing time to nab the workers.

This is very good. Conservatism as both a coherent idea and an accurate representation of the right is dead. Parts of its corpse have been repurposed, but it doesn’t exist as an intellectual force anymore.
"It is not mainline liberalism that has lost adherents; it’s everyone else. Across the world the center-right has disappeared, virtually overnight. ... One could say the same of libertarianism." www.liberalcurrents.com/liberalism-d...

i feel like the viral bus thread resonates because at every step of the way you're like "ok surely this will be resolved shortly, any second now," which seems like what all the passengers are also thinking. then the fact that the situation doesn't resolve and the bus just keeps going is an Allegory

Ending birthright citizenship is a prelude to taking away citizenship for anyone they want.
German Jews were citizens of Germany at the start of 1933. By the end of 1933, the Nazis had
removed citizenship from naturalized citizen Jews.

In 1935, all German Jews were fully stripped of their German citizenship.

Citizenship under dictatorships is contingent for targeted minorities.

On MLK Day, it’s important to remember why MLK Jr. was in Memphis when he was assassinated. He was there to support Black sanitation workers striking for better working conditions and higher wages. This, for me, a critical moment in the emergence of the environmental justice movement.

Please! They’re finding that even though subclade K evades many immune defenses, hospitalizations among children especially are still mostly kids who weren’t vaccinated. theyre finding vaccination still slows community spread and is reducing illness severity. GET VACCINATED.
according to a thing I read this morning, only 1/4 of eligible people in my state got the flu vaccine so far, and now a 4-year-old died of the flu. Please get vaccinated if you can!

Two-year old (still the baby in my head) says "yes" or maybe more properly "예쓰" when he means no, which is super confusing. I am not sure why since he also says "no" too.

My point is: Do not mistake temporary revulsion prompted by white people seeing what happened to Renee Good, for widespread opposition to the idea of ethnically cleansing the United States.

That would be a mistake.

In addition to abolishing ICE and criminal investigations, we need to think about reparations for those who survive being brutalized by the regime.

I would suggest, at a minimum, permanent legal status for anyone injured or detained for more than 24 hours regardless of criminal background.
