my personal problem with the way people talk about art these days is that i'll hear someone reference a movie with "unending amounts of soul, stunning artistry" that's a "lonely cry of creative brilliance in a time of stagnancy" and then they're talking about a movie for kids

minor aside but it's wild to me that some of the games most commonly associated with first person melee combat have... terrible first person melee combat! in TES you literally just spam left click until things die! without aiming!

my only annoyance with Dying Light rn is that all the weapon mod BPs i keep finding are for knives, a weapon type i very much don't like even if they are mad strong

the thing about the glamour unlock is, besides it allowing me to fully indulge my preferred method of Play within the sandbox, that it's a sign the devs are willing to let go of things they've clung to for a decade and concede to the playerbase, which is a thin line to walk but it's still welcome
