I run the podcast Hacking Your ADHD - over 200 episodes and 7 million downloads.

Also I like LEGO, frisbee, writing and dad jokes.
My daughter is working on an astronomy project and I blew her mind with the “sharks are have been around longer than Saturn’s rings“ - which admittedly is a fairly wild fact.

A conversation with my daughter:

D: who’s that guy that runs hell?

Me: the devil?

D: yeah, the devil! I bet he invented pants.

Ever have that instance of not being able to find something and having to clean a bunch only to find that item in plain sight and having a thought of, “well I guess I did all that cleaning for nothing?”

I mean it’s good that I did the cleaning, but still.

I got a box of random crap from Amazon as part of a brushing scam (fake reviews) and at first it’s neat because “free stuff” but then I am reminded why these products need fake reviews and now I just have a box of stuff I need to get rid of.

Articles about slang are usually kind of funny just due to the fact that by the time they get written they tend to be out of date.

Why am I so bad at sleeping, this doesn’t feel like something that should be gatekept by a skill issue.

I feel like a lot of us in the comedy world failed the world at large when we stayed silent despite knowing all about Cosby and Louis so let me say right now that Steve Martin has eaten one banjo a year for the last 25 years

I'm so used to being able to ask my kids to do things for me, like grabbing something from the fridge or turning off/on a light, that sometimes I try and do the same thing with my dog.

Come on, Moxie, just jump up there and hit the switch, you can do it!

I’m doing a presentation on AI later this week and with the research and linking I’ve been doing I’m now exclusively getting ads for everything AI.

Is it a coincidence that national nacho day and national men make dinner day fall on the same day?

Apparently I’ve just forgotten to reschedule my therapy appointment for three months - I knew it had been a bit, but I thought it was in the realm of weeks not months.

Nothing like waiting to give a pee sample and actually needing to go but having to wait for your lab number to get called.

Come on, I’m waiting for 112

We‘ve got a blackout going in my area and it’s wild that I can still post updates and use battery power and mostly the inconvenience comes from how I charge my devices and that I can’t use light switches (and other big appliances).

Just seems wild thinking back on blackouts when I was a kid.

I had a due date for something come up in my calendar and now I can't find where this things needs to be turned in and I'm wondering if past me set up an arbitrary due date to get me to finish this thing early and I just completely forgot about it. Win?

A fun fact about me is that in high school I set up my house with dial-up wifi.

That's right, we we're sharing that 56k baud across 3 devices and thought it was amazing.

Watching the new Figure robots video and I still don't understand why humanoid robots are being developed.

Also seeing a robot at a hotel front desk gave me flash backs to my conversations with AI customer service yesterday.

Whenever I call a place and end up talking with an AI answering system it is made so abundantly clear how far away we are from having systems like this that actually work.

I've never let my frustration get the best of me with customer service, but I definitely have with those "AIs".
