It looks for all the world like “anti-global elite” Nigel Farage is obtaining huge donations by routing them from a “high risk” Kazakhstani / Iranian billionaire via a proxy company, flouting restrictions on foreign donations.

Also evidence that essentially eliminating irregular immigration - as Australia has - doesn't, by itself, stop the radical right.
Nobody in Britain pays any attention to Australian politics, but One Nation overtaking the Coalition in the polls has distinct parallels with Reform leading the Conservatives. Parties on the radical right are coming for centre right parties across the world...

The thing about Mandelson, is that we've all known what he is since about 1998 and every time he resigns or gets sacked in disgrace it is just the same thing again.
the fact it’s even a question whether Mandelson should still be a Labour member is kind of crazy making. do you take this stuff seriously or not? get rid!

John, there just aren't people coming on boats to Manchester! If they are they're coming up the ship canal from Rucorn, and frankly, fair enough.

This new graphic from @thenerve.news could be so much bigger but we wanted to show 3 essential nodes in Peter Thiel’s sphere of influence: Silicon Valley, Washington & the UK.

In Britain, our govt is so naive about Thiel & what his company Palantir really is.

But who wants to go any more?

This is an absolutely incredible example of someone telling on himself, because for almost all of his life Matthew Goodwin craved nothing more than exactly this. He boasted for years of being the “youngest full professor of politics”, and then applied for post after post at more prestigious unis.
Reform politician Matthew Goodwin tells the Sunday Times that he would "rather shoot myself in the head" than be at dinner with Nick Robinson and Mary Beard, and the last thing the ex-acadenuc would ever have wanted would be to be a Professor at some Oxford college "backwater with zero influence"
You dont win 'em all! Reform's Matt Goodwin in Sunday Times: 'Most .. people criticising me are nerds. The last thing I want is to be at some dinner party table with Nick Robinson & Mary Beard. I'd rather shoot myself in the head'. Hang on, I'm not THAT bad!Nerds sometimes have a (thoughtful!) point.

The FT here makes the interesting point that it’s the current crop of Tory MPs alone who have failed to move on from Brexit - everyone else (who backed it) has pretty much either reneged on it or died. They’re locked in a time warp.

How the hell did this pompous charlatan become Prime Minister?
I enjoyed reading this column, which somehow blames Keir Starmer for the result of an employment tribunal following laws passed under the Tory government regarding an incident and suspension that took place before the last election.
