Education means nothing to MAGA, and even less to trump. Republicans have been trying to destroy the Dept of Education for years--since the enactment of the Dept, in fact.
This is illegal but no one will stop them. It'll take a little while before parents start noticing the full effect, but it's utterly stupid and harmful and will not end well.

I am an upstanding citizen, but I don’t think I would want to cooperate with the DOJ or FBI in any way.
