I laugh every time I see this when Shelby Harris high-fives the referee, who's just standing there signalling the end of the play.
Myles Garrett gets the record.

Sounds like they’re soft launching it in the evening so it’s ready to slide into the 11:35 pm slot in June. 🙄

I only saw 19 films released in 2025. Today, Frankenstein remains my favourite; One Battle After Another, Hamnet and Sinners are extraordinary. Let me add a hearty recommendation for a film I don’t see on any year-end lists: The Lost Bus. (1/2)

I was still thinking about the guy who said he went to Cap’n Crunch University in the offensive intros and it’s already 7-0 Bears

Did a double feature at the movies this afternoon. The odd coincidence between The Housemaid and Song Sung Blue? They both feature clips of Richard Dawson-era Family Feud. 🎥

This is an almost shockingly wise essay. I'm glad I've finally read it.
There Is No Mary Problem in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’
George’s vision of his wife without him is essential to the film, but critics continue to miss its true—and profound—meaning.

Via the Toronto Star to answer the questions I wondered about yesterday. Correct version of 60 Minutes went out on broadcast; wrong version posted online

I don’t know exactly how it works, but I’m pretty sure Global gets some shows like 60 Minutes early because of the NFL. It was a NFL doubleheader day on CBS, which means there was a pretty good chance 60 Minutes wouldn’t start on time at 7:30 ET. Those 4:25 pm ET games rarely end on time.

Computerized statistical models are just nerds who never played the game but "AI" is somehow imbued with the conscience of human ambivalence?
Nick Saban on the College Football Playoff: "Right now, if we had AI, and they had all the information, they would have one hell of a time trying to figure out what this committee's gotta figure out in terms of these last three or four teams." 🏈🎙️ #CFB #CFP

I sort of hoped Netflix would be a better steward of TCM’s vast library of classic film than the new shitheels at Paramount but I guess we’ll find out.

Back to the Future was winding down its 40th anniversary theatrical run and I took the opportunity to watch the whole series via AMC. Glad I didn’t spend theatre money to see Part 1.

I was confused and disappointed by the structure of Bigelow’s Detroit.

I promise you, clickbait does not generate subscriptions. I’m also fairly certain we’re not thin-skinned enough that we still need to be talking about this.

My favourite part of the Clase/Ortiz indictment is the eight-leg parlay lost when — after getting the first seven pitches successfully called balls — a batter swung at the eighth ball.
