The old, mature bald cypress trees in Caddo Lake are roughly 600 years old, meaning they were big, mature trees when the Alamo fell. But bald cypress trees can live much longer --- 2600+ years.

Polar bear cuddle puddle. This is a mom and her two 2-year-old cubs. Mortality rate for polar bear cubs is 50% in their first year, so seeing a family make it this far intact is always encouraging. 🌿🦊🐻❄️
