Here are 7 reasons I favor audiobooks:
1. I can listen in environments where reading a book is impractical (in the dark, noisy room, yard work, eating, walking, etc)

2. The narrator adds to the reading experience. Especially if there's a "full cast" of readers.

I won’t be spending a dime at Target, Home Depot or Amazon this week.

Target is a no-go zone for me. I fully received the message when they told me my money wasn’t shit to them.

Home Depot is DEAD to me too. Sicking ICE on peaceful productive workers turns my stomach.

And Amazon. Well

I just want to amplify one part of this post.
THAT'S SOME NEXT-LEVEL BANANA REPUBLIC SHIT RIGHT THERE.
Our convicted felon president, who pardoned Enrique Tarrio, the leader of the Proud Boys convicted of seditious conspiracy, wants to charge Mark Kelly, a decorated war veteran and astronaut, with seditious conspiracy.

That’s some next-level banana republic shit right there.

More than one thing can be true at a time. The Trump regime blaming Biden for everything is ridiculous AND the Biden administration could’ve done more to prevent us from being in this situation right now.

I’ve said this for years, but the real scandal of Russiagate wasn’t that Putin had something on Trump, but that Trump wanted to make the US like Putin’s Russia.

Russian asset Ron Johnson says there’s no money to give Americans $2K inflation checks. But there is money for a despot’s $250M ballroom and enough to give $40B to Argentina’s dictator.

I’ll always remember Ron paying Putin a visit in Moscow on July 4th weekend in 2018.

Like a well-tuned engine, society runs best when you manage the extremes on both ends.
Remember: The concentration of wealth in the hands of a few isn't just bad for our economy. It's corrosive to our democracy.

When the wealthy and well-connected control our political system, regular people don't have a voice.

The result? The demagoguery and corruption we're seeing now.

The Supreme Court created Super Citizens in 2010. The government has been serving them exclusively since then.

The Supreme Court voided our constitutionally guaranteed democratic republic on July 1, 2024 replacing it with serial authoritarianism.

I did not consent to this form of government.

As the chance of releasing the files grows, and these little stunts don't distract, less powerful countries should be very concerned.

There's only one thing my maga family members and I agree on, and it's the corrupting influence of financial wealth used in politics.
Nearly 8 in 10 Americans agree that spending by wealthy donors and corporations in our elections gives rise to corruption — including majorities of Republican and independent voters.

Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

We must overturn Citizens United.

The GOP is the party of, I got mine so f- you.
When did it become OK to despise poor people? What sort of America does the GOP really want? An autocracy overseeing mass starvation?

If you look around you and a majority of the protesters are older AND not wearing an American flag toga, you're on the correct side of the argument.
The present GOP talking point is that Only “old” people showed up at No Kings!
Yep, Damn right we showed up!
We show up at the Ballot Box too!

One of my mum’s last wishes was that she wasn’t remembered for the way that the cancer had brutalised her. So today, four years gone, I choose to remember:
1) she was accepted into the Royal Ballet
2) she saw The Beatles, twice
3) she loved Higher State of Consciousness by Josh Wink

Love you Mum x
