It takes about 2 weeks to build up immunity after a vaccine. Vaccines don’t prevent illness 100%, but can help keep your sickness mild if you do get infected.

We know it’s tempting to sneak a taste of raw cookie dough while baking but wait to eat dough or batter until it’s fully cooked. Raw flour and eggs in cookie dough can contain harmful germs that can make you sick.

CA has outbreak of serious illnesses due to foragers mistakenly eating “death cap” mushrooms. It’s easy to mistake them for safe mushrooms.

Cooking does NOT make them safe to eat.

Protect newborns from Hepatitis B! HepB infection can cause lifelong health problems - liver damage, cancer even death. Babies can be exposed through mothers, caregivers or daycare. Vaccination is the best protection.

Everyone 75 and older should get the RSV vaccine. It’s also recommended for adults ages 50-74 who live in a nursing home or have certain chronic health conditions.
