I didn’t see anything good from the West Ham game implemented & taken further tonight, & I think that’s what has pissed me off most, tbh. We had consistency of team selection, & yet none of the patterns remained. I’ve rarely seen a more hesitant, confused setup.

Against West Ham, the whole attacking structure was geared toward creating space for Wirtz to run the game. Today, our whole attacking structure is geared toward compressing the space he wants to be in so he has to run around like a desperate penitent praying someone will pass him the ball.
