Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

I think they're so bad that it's almost hard to comprehend. A problem that feels too big to solve given what we already know about these people facing zero consequences. I wonder how much of that is baked into this type of reaction: people bracing themselves for the idea that nothing will happen
