Structural Enginerd. If your argument for metric is “something…something base 10,” you’re arguing for Fahrenheit. If you acknowledge a pre-1998 college football national champion, you should acknowledge that Kansas is the 2020 basketball national champion.

I mean…for fucks sake…what the shit is going on?
Makes me wonder how much of the growing Republican support in areas most affected by the opioid epidemic, is tied to being exposed to and finding out how hard it is to work with US social safety net systems creating a reactionary scapegoating of minorities who must be benefiting over themselves….

As a veteran winter holiday road traveler here’s a tip, make sure to have emergency supplies in your car, ice scraper, shovel, extra clothes, blankets or sleeping bags, and volunteer to bring dessert and beverages. That way if you’re stuck, you have pie and wine.
Watching rain to windy snow scenario Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Best chance for significant accumulations north of MSP through northern half of Minnesota.
Could be gnarly travel especially north of MSP Tuesday night Wed AM.
Stay tuned...

Ham is clearly the choice as 90%(?) of folks have never added it. I'm shocked by the, "clearly dinner rolls" folks. You all need to find better rolls. Pry our families out of my cold dead hands. Especially good for sopping up the runny egg from stuffing cakes turkey Benedict Friday morning.
with charity and goodwill, i must here part ways with rolls.

When engineering and/or construction is slow, it’s largely because “I assumed that would work,” didn’t. Seems like handing nuclear engineering off to the “most people assumed that would work” machine, might be a bad idea.
Problem: AI needs massive amounts of power to thrive. Nuclear makes lots of power. Nuclear takes a long long time to do safely.

Proposed solution that I'm sure will have no unpleasant consequences: Use AI to speed up the construction of new nuclear plants.
Power Companies Are Using AI To Build Nuclear Power Plants
Tech companies are betting big on nuclear energy to meet AIs massive power demands and they're using that AI to speed up the construction of new nuclear power plants.

I wanted to build things. Went to school for architecture and found out I was much better at math and physics than art.

This was always the problem with, “well his policies will hurt ‘red’ communities most. Haha FAFO! Haha.” Those places are never allowed to find out.
Rep. Ashley Hinson on a bailout for farmers: "I'm pleased to hear that the administration acknowledges the struggles our farmers are facing and will be focused on this bridge. We need this bridge, these payments to go out to our folks so they can continue to operate."

Helicopter is often split into two “heli-“ (heli-ski, heli-rescue) and “copter,” but the Latin root is actually “helico” for spiral and “pter” for wing, as in “pterodactyl.”
Man, everything is so bleak, anyone got a fun fact or little bit of trivia they want to share

Friend just sent a pic from what is presumably the "World's Largest Loon," wacky 50's era roadside attraction. Is that sort of small town pride emblem a uniquely U.S. thing? Or is there a running dispute between a town in Wisconsin and a village in Switzerland over the biggest cow?

It wasn't 1983, but the first time I saw this movie I was in the KU dorms shown during the retaliatory missile launch scene.

I'm going to need a "Better Off Dead' remake, but replace "I want my two dollars," with "Ha-ha, bitches, I got a better scooter," and the paperboy gets paid.

Folks, I assure you, you can find a much better mint chocolate shake and any one of your local ice cream establishments.
Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

Trump on if he'll sign an Epstein files release bill: "We have nothing to do with Epstein. The Democrats do. All of his friends were Democrats. You look at this Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, Clinton... all I want is I want for people to recognize the great job I've done on pricing, on affordability."

How does this “signature policy” doctrine work? Is it like the “franchise tag” in the NFL? Do you get one a year? A term? Does it need to be declared prior to SCOTUS taking the case or can it be applied later?
Bessent on tariffs: "This is one of President Trump's signature policies, and traditionally the Supreme Court does not interfere with a president's signature policy."

The idea that guns provide needed self or home defense is asinine. The only legitimate uses of firearms are hunting and target shooting, where accuracy is the most important criteria. As such all double action and semi-automatic guns should be banned.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.
