If Trumpsky gets pushed out, don't celebrate too soon. This push toward fascism isn't coming from Trump... it's coming from the Republican Party.
Most DC republicans are appalled by him and want him gone, but they won't push him out because then they'd lose their chance at single party rule.

Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

Once Trump is gone, we'll still have a strong and vigorous fascist movement active in the country. They may have only realized what they wanted once Trump showed the way, but they're realizing it's what they've always wanted, and now they won't give up the dream. And they'll still control the GOP.

I see people talk about ICE by calling them the Gestapo, and while its not hard to see the comparison; they really aught to be compared to something homegrown. Because in truth, the closest thing we can compare ICE to is to federal slave catchers. The operation is the same.
