For real. I'm willing to cut the internet archive a LOT of slack because even when it's been in their interests to back down, they fought moral battles to the bitter end. If I found out they were tracking me online, I'd want to sit down and hear what that data was for and how it helps them.

TL;DR: If a criminal justice reform includes harsher sentences for a crime, go look up what crimes have equal or lesser sentencing and then ask yourself "could someone commit these crimes in an attempt to hide the first one?"

Because some of them will be the knock-on effect of harsher sentencing.

Something I think folks with only the most cursory of understanding of criminal justice just don't get?

There's a sweet spot for punishment of violent crimes, and it has nothing to do with mercy for the perpetrator; it has to do with maintaining a reason for them to show nonlethal restraint.

So many of our problems come from wanting some component of modern life to be different, but investing nothing as a society to achieve it. We can name a dozen major social and cultural issues but if you followed the money you'd find none of them at the end of those investment streams.

Then there's the controls: In vertical pairs: Left: Pitch Rise Rise speed Reverb Room size On the right: Wobble Speed Wobble Amount Tone Brightness Volume Next is a row of keys: Randomize - randomizes the sound parameters UNDO/ REDO - go back to parameters you liked Export Wav - self explanatory, it saves a copy of the latest sound to your hard drive. Then the fun buttons, with cute art styles: IMPACT, sparkle, beam, powerUP, PON, BOOM, slash, woosh Each produces a preset sound, which then goes through the fx chain. Hope you enjoy it!

I don't want to crush people's dreams, but I think we need to focus less on "going viral" and more on building a strong community around our works. Having A Big Number by itself doesn't help much. You can't eat social media numbers. You need the people on the other side of the screen to CARE.

Be careful, California. It's a good idea to mask when you're in crowds, wash your hands, and be extra careful. I know a couple people who have had this flu, and they said it was worse than Covid.
