Trying to picture the ambivalence the natsec/former mil. liberal accounts on here must have about Stranger Things 5.4.

OOH, there is that moment when Hopper chews out his prisoner about [spoilers].

OTOH, there is a scene of what would be a literal circular firing squad if actual physics applied.

@bgstatsapp.bsky.social I have frequent errors with the app either inappropriately placing or failing to place the "new to me" icon next to a game play. Is there a way to manually switch this flag?

It's not directly relevant to the scandal, but Olivia Nuzzi is ugly and the degree to which she is widely viewed as attractive, to the point where she's clearly been benefitting from the halo effect, is as mysterious as RFKjr's apparently broad appeal to the opposite sex.

Two things can be true & I'm tired of pick-mes pretending otherwise

1: Israel is actually doing a lot of pretty awful things.
2: Those crimes get far more visibility than contemporaneous crimes elsewhere, largely because Jews are involved. If not for social media & disinfo, zoomers wouldn't care.

Stress Botics and its expansion list 4 languages on the back of the box, but it turns out that if you order it from France (basically the only way to get a copy in the US), they only comes with the French rulebooks. There are PDFs of the English rules online, but the books are square.

I (47) just described riding one of the last carousels to do the brass ring game as a child, and my wife (40) had no idea what I was talking about or where the idiom came from.

Turkey discourse is tired. I shall plant some other flags regarding the terribleness of Thanksgiving cuisine.

Mashed potatoes are inedible for reasons of texture.

Pumpkin and squash taste bad in any form.

The way I keep seeing large accounts talk about group DMs and chats on here makes clear that there is a huge cultural and psychological gap even between regular, active users of bsky and the people who literally never log off.

Fresh Fish (Un Dia en el Mercado) is available for 16 euros at a store in Spain right now, but thanks to Grampa Tariffs, they won't ship to the USA.

Letting insurrectionist senators sue over their phone records is just going to create an opportunity to introduce evidence of their roles in discovery, no?

The other reason I am upset that the Democrats caved is that the shutdown would *not* have continued indefinitely otherwise. After a November of no Thanksgiving and widespread food insecurity, Republican officeholders would be living every day in fear of literal lynch mobs and would quickly fold.

The Dem base wants the shutdown to continue because it’s the only time we’ve felt like our electeds were representing us: trying to squeeze the GOP instead of squeezing us to accept concessions; directing their anger at the Republicans instead of at their own voters for wanting them to resist

I think the chances are nontrivial that stuff like the Gatsby-themed party were suggested by Vance because he and his fascist backers have concluded that grampa is bad for the cause, and they're trying to get him offed, which would also give them a pretext for further crackdown.

Isn't it fascinating how RFKjr will drum up panic about exposure to all of those unnatural chemicals except for the ones where there's actual evidence of harm.
An EPA report found that the forever chemical PFNA interferes with human development and likely causes damage to the liver and male reproductive systems.

The agency has sat on the report for months. “Scientifically, it was done,” said one scientist.
Scientists Completed a Toxicity Report on This Forever Chemical. The EPA Hasn’t Released It.
Agency scientists found that PFNA could cause developmental, liver and reproductive harms. Their final report was ready in mid-April, according to an internal document reviewed by ProPublica, but the ...
