Time for round 2 of #WakeUpDeadMan! Normally I'd scold a movie for getting Jeffrey Wright and using him so little, but I think he did well with the character he was given.

I'm watching the Garfield show on Netflix. Worst adaptation I've ever seen. I'm on the second episode and the man hasn't even MENTIONED lasagna. No idea how this got greenlit.
Matthew Macfadyen is pretty good as Odie, though.

Whatever feelings may linger for how the Stargate novels thing ended, I'll be forever grateful to them for letting me take one line ("A grumpy first officer who doesn't like men") about a character in one episode and write her as explicitly queer. They let me give her a girlfriend and everything!

No help for you, but: My hotel in LA gave me a tiny rubber duckie. I kept it in my pocket the whole time I was with the person I was visiting waiting for an opportunity. At one point I was alone in their apartment so I hid it at their workstation to make their Monday brighter.

I expected to love Jason, of course. I didn't expect to also fall for Stevie, or Fatiha. Or to adore Mathew. Or appreciate Rosie so much. What a great series. Javie Martzoukas for life!

She did *not* get me a paperwhite, because I already HAD a paperwhite (my last two Kindles were). She got me a COLORSOFT, which I don't think I've even heard of. But it's in color! Oooo!

It is! Thank you! Every year I tell myself "Don't expect anything from your favorite person, they're busy, they're forgetful and ADHD, it's fine!" and every year they remember. It's like a minor b'day miracle. And it's already happened, so...! One year they sent a text at 12:13am. 🤗

I wish 90s me could somehow find out that an actress I had a crush on and a recurring actor on my favorite show would be among those wishing me a happy birthday on Facebook in a few decades. Liz is a colleague, and Tony was just... at my webseries premiere. A gift from the universe. 😉

Oh cool another piece of my past is going away. Awesome. Cool. I used to go to Mazzio's all the time in high school. Off-campus lunches, after church youth group trips. Amazing buffet, and a little arcade. It's like the whole town is shutting down. Wonder what'll go next. 🙃

I imagine it felt the same or better as when I met Amanda Tapping (and Teryl Rothery) from Stargate SG-1. It's a long story (in the alt text) but right after this Amanda got up and hugged me, thanked me for coming.

I never understood why all the reboot conversations always talk about who should play Xena now. Have they not seen Lucy lately? She's still got that warrior princess in her.
