Pro-DEI, because different perspectives and experiences are the way to increasing knowledge, wealth, and wisdom.

Also annoyed that I have to point all this out.

Gotta say it's mindblowing to me that the Brown shooter is still at large and they don't even seem to have identified who they're looking for.

"rob reiner derailing donald trump's presidency from beyond the grave" is very much not how i thought this year would end
Trump doubles down on his Rob Reiner attack: "I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person... He became like a deranged person, Trump Derangement Syndrome. So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all in any way, shape or form. I thought he was very bad for our country."

Rob Reiner: I'm going to make a coming of age drama, a fantasy adventure story, a romantic comedy, a psychological horror and then a courtroom drama.

Us: Across your entire career?

Reiner: In a 6 year period.

Us: That sounds-

Reiner: -Each one will be arguably the best movie in that genre.

Only time I ever saw Rob Reiner in person was when he was in the front row of the Spinal Tap concert at the Greek Theater. It was awesome. RIP

Endorse.
CBS should make me editor-in-chief and it will be 24 hours nonstop coverage about arcane menswear rules no one knows or cares about

It makes political sense that "The House takes care of financial matters - taxes, tariffs, budgets - because they are more responsive due to being up for election more often."

But it makes even more economic sense that it's "...because with more members they can best determine the total impact."

What people aren’t understanding is that people getting killed at schools is because we really need the Second Amendment as a bulwark against tyranny.

Should be wild that the vast majority of Americans don't give a shit about your kids being murdered regularly by guns. Polls may say they do, but the way Americans vote say otherwise.

They vote for Republicans that don't give a shit, or Dems that refuse to put any effort into ending gun violence.
Trump: "I've been fully briefed on the Brown University situation. What a terrible thing it is. All we can do right now is pray for the victims." (Trump falsely posted that the shooter is in custody.)

I have maybe 10 Presidential elections left in me, so 20 Federal elections, plus the same number of primaries.

And every day brings another reason why I will never vote for the Republicans, ever, in any of them.

This is why people, especially a president, shouldn’t rush to post unverified claims during an active shooting. The suspect was not in custody, and misinformation in moments like this can get people killed.

Have since seen the movie and I'd say I hit this right on target.
Instead, the new F4 appears to be trying a different direction, namely "What if you're all wonderful and perfect and good and already a great team and minimal internal conflict and everyone absolutely loves you - but it's STILL not enough to take on the sort of challenges you're going to face?"

I was really in a mood a year ago.
Watched all four of the big monologues from Andor and did some writing, and I'm finally starting to feel better than when the day started.

Like far too many people, I've been involved in an active shooter incident, at which I learned one of the most important media lessons of my life:

Being where things are happening does not necessarily mean that you know what is going on.

But I'll agree that STFU is an appropriate corollary.
He issued a correction, proving why he needs to stfu and let the cops do their jobs.

It’s a a goddamned ongoing tragedy, not a reality TV show, primed for him to drop the big reveal.

Muscovy is a declining empire. Putin puppet Trump has tied the United States to Moscow so it shares in that decline.

Trump is in steep cognitive decline. Given that Americans have unwisely given him unchecked executive power, the United States declines along with Trump.

Deathwalker?

....Deathwalker.

Deathwalker!

Na'Toth proceeds to walk over and give a full Narn-powered beatdown to the alien entering the station.

(Sarah Douglas plays Deathwalker, the last of her race, who fully deserves the beating she gets. She gives an amazing portrayal of the villain.)

Nothing to do with this thread, but I'm re-watching WandaVision where "what happens with Wanda's accent" is a recurring "joke."

It wasn't until this re-watch that I realized an answer is "she learned English watching sitcoms as a child."

(Which is probably why it's brought up in the first place.)
She sounds like she watched television as a child.

public opinion is simply more nuanced than what can be expressed in issue polls. and voters think about broad issues in a number of different ways. there are ways to fight on immigration that do help trump. but there are also ways to fight on it that hurt him.
