RE: FreeTaxUSA!! You can run your numbers through TurboTax without paying, since you only pay when you file. This year I tried both programs, and got a better number from FreeTaxUSA. So I will use it going forward for sure (until I finally wise up and get an accountant)

My most woke opinion is that the whole point of society is to collectively help each other. My taxes should be going towards housing and feeding everyone. No one should be without food or shelter. Rich people should be contributing more towards this. It shouldn't even be controversial!

I listened to a podcast yesterday exploring whether genai is as harmful as people think, and the part that surprised me most is the kind of thinking people wanted to outsource?? I guess I'm never an early adopter and I am inherently skeptical of The Machines, but it was...disappointing.

ANYWAYS BACK TO WORK!!! I got creatures to make and fun places to go and projects to work on!! My life is full and my friends are good, the world is scary, but we persevere. Also this lives in my house and that kinda rules.

Not to keep weirdly harping on it, but I just...actually want to give myself credit for working really hard over the years since my last breakup to be a better person. It hasn't been linear and I have had a LOT of messy situations, some that were absolutely my fault!
