Not sure why Reform announcing they’ll scrap the Equality Act 2010 hasn’t provoked widespread alarm.
They want to torch our human rights framework AND repeal our right to protection from discrimination.
A smile and a shrug on BBC News.
What the hell?
FFS, media. Tell people what this really means.

Exactly this! ⬇️
I don't know about anyone else but I reckon I would leave teaching if Braverman ever got to be education secretary.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social are you having a day out in Bridlington in this little lot of KHFC fans (the bus stop behind the players)?
I hope I am smiling at the end of the game and not you! 😉

Teachers: WHO study linked 55+ hour weeks to 35% higher stroke risk & 17% higher heart disease death risk.

I keep my teaching under 50 hrs/week. If I can't, I leave!

Set boundaries. Reject martyrdom. The Working Time Directive says 48 hrs max.

How many teachers work more?

The pitch won’t stay empty for long.
The seats won’t either.
The noise will be back.
And so will we.
We’ve missed this place.

As a teacher, I'm 60%-40% for staying, for now!

I've researched other careers, but this is what keeps me:

✓ Boundaries, set a leaving time.
✓ Habits, no work emails at home.
✓ Mindset, job works for ME
✓ Narrative, it's a job - not a vocation.

Make the job work for you!

Teachers: Stop making 30 calls for what could be 1 text. 📱
The Standards ask for "effective communication," not 3 hours of your life.
I texted 30 parents about progress; only 6 wanted a call. I saved hours & spoke to those ready to act.
Leaders: Give staff text tools!

Teachers are overwhelmed by the guilt of not meeting needs.

“Staff know what children need, but they cannot provide it.

They carry the emotional fallout of systemic failure daily. Participants in my research described feeling responsible for needs that no single teacher or school could meet.”

If only people hated the people who rip them off, who under pay them, who constantly call them lazy, who wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire, as much as they hate people with a different skin shade.

Following a pitch inspection at Bridlington this afternoon, unfortunately we have to inform supporters that tomorrow's game is postponed.

An early inspection was necessary due to Hereford's travel arrangements.

We will inform supporters of the rearranged date once agreed.
