"The Road Not Taken"... a poplar grove (cultivated) near Andrew, AB. i captured this in the fall when most of the leaves had fallen but there were still leaves on the trees in the background and the soft late afternoon light was filtering through them

Fall and Winter are genuinely my favorite times of year, but one frustrating thing about this season is I always have to register more than 1 touch ID fingerprint just to get into my shit due to how bad my hands dry out, even with lotion.

12% of the area school system students failed to show for school yesterday due to CBP operations in the area. For context, there are > 161,000 students in the public school system. That means ~20,000 students didn't attend class.

So, the students at my kid's high school held a walkout today to protest CBP / ICE being in the area, targeting apartment complexes, the Home Depot, Lowes, lawncare and landscaping crews. Peaceful protest that lasted 45 mins and they were back in class by 10:15am.
