Honduras: The lawyer for Juan Orlando Hernández, a former president of Honduras who had been convicted in the United States of drug trafficking charges, said on Tuesday that his client had been released from a federal prison in West Virginia after receiving a full pardon from President Trump. Mr. Trump granted the pardon on Monday evening, fulfilling a pledge he had made days earlier that shocked U.S. officials who had built a major case against Mr. Hernández for flooding the United States with cocaine.

If it's a "IKGAF" (I kinda give a fuck) day, here's an alternate that uses raw chicken and fresh mushrooms. If you have more time, you could obviously extend that to use fresh peas and carrots. Or sub any other fresh veggies that would work well with the garlic & herb Boursin. Chef's choice.
IKGAF Chicken & Rice (For those times when you kinda give a fuck and have a little more time) Ingredients * 1 lb boneless chicken breast or thighs, flattened * 2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup (10.5oz each) * 2 packages of Boursin Garlic & Herb cheese (5.2oz each) * 1 1/2 cups uncooked brown basmati rice * 3 to 3 1/2 cups water * 8 oz white mushrooms * 8 to 12 oz bag frozen peas & carrots * 2 Tbsp butter (for rice) * 1 Tbsp butter or olive oil (for mushrooms) * 1 Tbsp butter or olive oil (for chicken) * 2 tsp salt (for rice) * 1/2 to 3/4 tsp black pepper Directions 1. Start your rice. (I use a rice cooker) 1. Add the 1 1/2 cups uncooked brown rice to your rice cooker 2. Add 3 to 3.5 cups water (whatever the package recommends) 3. Add 2 Tbsp butter and 2 tsp salt 4. Cook rice 2. Start your base. 1. Add 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup to 2qt sauce pan 2. Add 1 soup can’s worth of warm water and mix. 3. Crumble both packages of Boursin cheese into the mixture 4. Warm over medium-ish heat. 5. Whisk the mixture occasionally to ensure the cheese melts and is evenly distributed 3. Start your veggies 1. Chop your mushrooms into small pieces 2. Add 1 Tbsp butter or olive oil to a non-stick pan and cook mushrooms. Season with salt & pepper 3. Set aside when done. 4. Cook peas & carrots according to package directions, set aside 4. Cook the chicken 1. Cut the chicken into 1/2” chunks, season with some salt & pepper and toss in your non-stick pan with a Tbsp or so of butter or olive oil 2. Brown the chicken until cooked, set aside 5. Throw it all together 1. When the rice is cooked, remove to a large mixing bowl. 2. Add your mushrooms, peas and carrots and mix with rice 3. Add your cream of mushroom & Boursin cheese base to the rice & veggies. Mix thoroughly 4. Add your chicken to the bowl. Stir into rice, veggie and base mixture 5. Add pepper to taste. 6. Serve

I've been the primary cook for a family of 4 for the past 26 years. I recently threw together an "IDGAF" recipe for dinner because figuring out dinner for 4 people with different sets of food allergies sucks ass & some days, I just don't wanna. Thought I'd share for those having an "IDGAF" day.
IDGAF Chicken & Rice Ingredients * 12 - 16 oz fully cooked diced chicken (Tyson, Purdue, John Soules Food) * 2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup (10.5oz each) * 2 packages of Boursin Garlic & Herb cheese (5.2oz each) * 1 1/2 cups uncooked brown basmati rice * 3 to 3 1/2 cups water * 8 to 12 oz bag frozen peas & carrots * 2 Tbsp butter (for rice) * 2 tsp salt (for rice) * 1/2 to 3/4 tsp black pepper Directions 1. When the rice is cooked, remove to a large mixing bowl. 2. Add peas and carrots and mix with rice 3. Add your cream of mushroom & Boursin cheese base to the rice & veggies. Mix thoroughly 4. Add your chicken to the bowl. Stir into rice, veggie and base mixture 5. Add pepper to taste. 6. Serve

The law has existed since 2005. Having to allocate your resources to comply with election law is just part & parcel of running election campaigns, and certainly wasn't new here.
During oral argument, Clement repeatedly stressed that there’s no need for the Court to engage in the kind of partisan evaluation that Alito was itching to get into. Bost alleges that he had to reallocate his campaign resources to comply with Illinois’s law, and economic harm is a textbook source of standing. “The pocketbook injury just makes it easy,” said Clement. “There is no need to make the standing inquiry here any more complicated than that.” But for Alito, this case presented an opportunity to lash out at imagined Democratic nefariousness—and to parrot one of Trump’s favorite conspiracy theories in the process.

I always enjoy the occasional funny coincidences in court opinions. Found on page 54, second to last sentence, of the District Court's order enjoining the State of Texas from displaying the 10 commandments in public school classrooms.

Can't believe I actually agree w/ Alito on something. Personally, I don't see how one can discuss transgenderism and exclude biological sex from that conversation, so in my mind, the courts overly narrow application of sex here is wrong. But I think Alito is right in these passages.

The Court nonetheless concludes that SB1 does not clas- sify based on transgender status, and in doing so, it relies chiefly on our decision in Geduldig, 417 U. S. 484. Ante, at 16–17. The dissent responds by denigrating Geduldig and contending that the decision should be discarded.4 Post, at 23–24 (opinion of SOTOMAYOR, J.). I would not enter into this debate about SB1’s classifica- tion scheme.
