Some good news
New from CDC (at least something is working) on Covid.
For the first time, the LP.8.1 variant has taken the lead in the US, accounting for >40% of cases.
The good news is current boosters work pretty well for inducing neutralizing antibodies against this variant

How do you spell disaster?
Trump and Elon just began firing hundreds of NOAA workers serving “mission-critical and life-saving roles.”

These climate experts and forecasters are crucial to tracking natural disasters like hurricanes.

Make no mistake, their terminations will cause preventable deaths.

The federal civilian worker payroll totaled $271 billion in 2022.

The annual cost of permanently extending Trump's tax cuts that primarily benefited rich individuals? $400 billion.

Keep this in mind as Trump and DOGE lay off thousands of federal workers.

The richest man in the world calls people who get help from government programs the “parasite class.”

But Medicaid’s beneficiaries aren’t parasites. Half of them are children.

If we’re talking about people who depend on government, Elon Musk is the biggest “parasite” of all.

Destroying the government agencies which would compete with his Businesses. Of course
DOGE recommended firing workers at:

-FDA, which oversees Neuralink

-FAA, which oversees SpaceX

-USAID, which probed Starlink

-CFPB, which oversees Tesla's financing arm and a potential payment platform on X.

"Conflict of interest" is a severe understatement.

Yes this is exactly how this works
DOGE recommends cuts to the FAA.

Hundreds of workers get fired, including those tasked with producing air traffic navigation maps.

Now Starlink is reportedly in line to take over a $2 billion contract to upgrade the nation's air traffic control systems.

See how this works?

One of the unacknowledged advantages of this awful era is that it's revealing for all to see the putrid connections between great wealth and great power.

The intentions of the oligarchs are fully exposed and more blatant than ever.

But remember: We outnumber the oligarchs.
