ProPublica is publishing the letters of children incarcerated inside ICE facilities.
If you are from another country, do not come here. Not even to visit. Some of these children have been inside almost a year and only came here for family vacation.

This is giving child trafficking energy. Im a domestic adopted and knowing how unregulated domestic adoptions are this is raising alarms
The 2024 Adoptee Citizenship Act has become the 2025 US HR5492 PAAF (Protect Adoptees and American Families). This bill "aims to provide automatic United States citizenship to certain internationally adopted individuals who were not previously granted citizenship."

The clearest lesson from Trump II is that norms and precedent are thin and can be uprooted swiftly. The foundations of the legal system, legislative branch, and the press have crumbled in a year. The question of how you escape this institutional crisis is one worth theorizing. It goes beyond Trump.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

“If only people had voted for Kamala” is not the lesson here. What this moment shows is the desperate need to insist on different politics. Not a lesser evil but people who will abolish ICE, who won’t fund genocide, who believe in sanctity of human life. Anything short of that assures more death.

My gorgeous girl really deserves more attention. If more people understood what she teaches about know-your-place aggression, more “good” and “decent “ white people would realize it’s way past time for them to work deliberately to make society good and decent.
