I recently booted up Nuclear Throne and noticed the game felt wrong somehow- less frantic and adrenaline inducing. I eventually found that the issue is that it was updated to 60 fps.
It's more responsive for sure but it loses the panic factor of having 5 frames to dodge a bullet coming at you.

I don't care about 60 fps in games. As long as it's at least 30 I'm good
Most of the best games I've played were 30 fps, like Astral Chain. It's not unplayable
I can't even tell a difference between 30 and 60 unless it's a side by side comparison or something

I could totally empathize with how insane it must sound to neurotypical people to hear "sorry I had an unexpected social interaction today so I'm gonna have to cancel our plans."
Like if stuff like this doesn't make you mentally shut down it just sounds like an excuse, I respect their understanding.

Caves of Qud update: poured warm static on my dog, it turned into a dromad trader that comes with guards and items. They are all my dog, the whole trade party and merchandise. I convinced my dog to sell me my dog for free while my dog, my dog, my dog and my dog were standing guard.

Companies actually stopped following this practice. With the advent of "AI" they are now exclusively selling you objectively worse models.
There's no such thing as device hoarding. Tech companies need to stop selling slightly better models every year at extreme cost.
It's unsustainable and people are starting to be fucking done with it.
Something as expensive as a smart phone should last you years.

Gotta say Terraria gets boring real fast like 10 minutes after you kill wall of flesh. 85% of the time is spent combing through areas you already explored but now the enemies deal more damage, the gear is more expensive and the ores are a different color.

You haven't experienced Brothers: a Tale of Two Sons unless you held the controller through the whole thing. No amount of videos will give you that experience.
"you have not played the game unless you've played the game" is one of my more annoying but unshakable opinions
the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information

You haven't experienced Brothers: a Tale of Two Sons unless you held the controller through the whole thing. No amount of videos will give you that experience.
We are slowly creeping towards emails as a whole going extict just how SMS messages did. 3rd parties demanding your adress and then selling it to advertisers, followed by the primary service refusing to filter them because it hurts their short term profit. Another idea gone, victim of capitalism.
