Any change from Dumars will require selling Gayle Benson on the idea. Benson turned down David Griffin's request to fire Green multiple times. It would not surprise me if Dumars is ultimately successful in the next few weeks.

I reported earlier in the summer that Willie Green had lost support from the players and organization, yet Dumars was mandated by Benson to keep him around.
Green still does not have the locker and the Pelicans patience is wearing thin. Players are checked out and management sees it.

I think the Pelicans should throw caution to the wind and just go get Walker Kessler. Next year's pick is a sunk cost, but the opportunity to grab an elite defensive bit is too good to pass up.

Pelicans lose Rim/3 battle to the Suns 70.53-76.47%, making it 0/23 on the season in the Rim/3 battle, still the only team in the NBA yet to win the battle in a single game. Every other team in the NBA has won the battle in at least 6 games.
They did win the Shot Quality battle vs Phoenix though!
