Ima use this weirdo as a jumping off point for something that annoys me in these types of conversations. Specifically, how people like this play into the paedo panic by aggressively and intentionally conflating base superficial attraction with what we usually mean when we say “attracted to”.

A specific variant of this that I've noticed is when person A makes a throwaway post about topic X and shuts the fuck up about it for n years. The post, meanwhile, keeps getting reposted with more and more wild made up lore, and at some point you start seeing “A simply cannot shut up about X” posts.
