4 yrs ago today, a family member managed a truly spectacular own goal, splintered his domestic bliss, & in the process, united the world for a day.

On popular request, I shall now recreate the livetweet thread from that day

The average amount of SNAP received is about $173. Which means you could fund nearly a million families for a month if we just didn't buy her two private jets to fly around and do racist pressers. Which by the way, seems excessive.
Do I understand this correctly? We're shelling out $172 million for two private jets for DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and other federal officials while no funds are available for SNAP (food stamp) recipients in November. Does that about cover it?
$172 million on private jets for Kristi Noem? Incredible.
Meanwhile, the Coast Guard is supposed to save lives and protect our coasts, but apparently it’s easier and far more important to fund her personal travel budget. Wasteful doesn’t even begin to cover it.

It's kinda cool that Gary Larson is doing new cartoons because he picked up a digital tablet, taught himself how to use it, and it made him love drawing again.

mindreading is such a fun underutilized thing for erotic horror because sometimes your thoughts are truly not things you want or even consciously chose to think about and that has a lot of potential.

If writing feels futile right now, remember why people need stories. Remember you've got Tolkien and Le Guin in your corner. Remember that people still tell stories during the dark times. That's actually when they need them most.

Reconnect with your inner storyteller.
