Good literary translation requires understanding (language, culture, genre--on both sides of the translation) and an ability to write well. "AI" can't do that. There are no shortcuts. Treat your work and foreign language readers with the respect they deserve. You won't fool anyone with this.

Currently reading the Rascal Does Not Dream light novels, getting the same feeling as when I watched the first season of the anime 5ish years back—they aren't *amazing* or anything, but they're fun enough. Probably going to read some VE Schwab next.

I don't know why, but my brain is always coming up with new ideas for Cinderella retellings. Cinderella Phantom Thief, Cinderella x the Matrix, Cinderella x The Hunger Games, Cinderella but her stepfamily runs a drug empire.... I don't know if I'll WRITE these, but egads, I *WANT* to one day!🫠

One of the weirdest parts about being a writer is that some days I'll struggle to get a single word on the page; others, I'll write 4 pages in a blink. And yet, not a day goes by where I'm not obsessively imagining all the cool scenes I'm excited to get to! 😂
