Perhaps we need to redefine what taking a risk actually means?

Smashing the ball long to a CF who isn't good at hold up play is a risk. It's a big risk. And it has very little reward. Generally speaking, we lose the ball.

Perhaps take risks that have a potential payoff?

50/50 The Chemical Brothers - The Darkness you fear (UK, 2021)

Finishing off with the Chemical Brothers doing very Chemically Brothers things.

My thanks to Arron for organizing this #MusicChallenge

Misread this as 'two miles of ice cream', which would have been very, ahem, cool.

But science is also cool.
Two miles of ice core on the shelf at our national ice core facility in Lakewood, Colorado. The WAIS Divide core from West Antarctica is a 3400m long (deepest US core, 2nd deepest ice core ever) 68,000 year old record of high resolution climate.

49/50 Jamie XX - I don't know (UK, 2020)

One of those tunes I can't quite wrap my head around. Different drum patterns come flying at you. It's chaotic and amazing in equal measures.

1) I think one of the most important things a manager can do is get their players playing with a bit of irrational arrogance, an expectation that they are even better than they are. …

If (more likely when) we get slapped about by PSG on Wednesday, the atmosphere on Saturday at WHL is going to be so toxic.

If we turn in another poor home performance, especially against a relegation contender, well..

Is Fulham at home a "must-win" game for Frank?

The important thing is, I have learned my lesson, I won't be chopping wood with a big sharp axe after watching that Spurs performance.

Aggressive leaf raking instead.

A humiliating defeat was 100% on Frank - & it was coming. The players were trying to follow Frank's tactical plan. We have seen this shitty style of football all season, results papering over poor performances.

Chelsea and Man Utd games were warning signs, not heeded. Now this total embarrassment.
November 23, 2025 at 6:40 PM
We conceded 4 yet Vicario was probably our best player.

We were so fucking bad today.
November 23, 2025 at 6:26 PM
I did not, in fact, get my wish.

Absolutely embarrassing performance.
When it comes to the NLD, I am a simple man, with a simple ask:

Just show up. Whatever the result, at least turn in a performance we can be proud of.
Someone make sure Frank and the players see this
November 23, 2025 at 6:20 PM
Just putting it out there...

If any player snubs Frank, heads straight down the tunnel, I honestly could not give a shit. In fact I would fully understand / support their decision to do so.
November 23, 2025 at 6:14 PM
In the last 10 minutes we have started to play anti-Frank ball, actually passing it, breaking the lines and we have looked better and created more.

Suddenly Arsenal don't look quite so good.
Oh, look, we just played a bit of front foot football and we scored.

I predicted that this would be unwatchable stop-start football - it was very obvious - but even then this is beyond what I expected.

How the fuck are we playing with a double defensive pivot yet still give Eze the freedom of the park?
November 23, 2025 at 5:38 PM
I am absolutely feeling this from Dele, even though he was talking about Jose-ball.
November 23, 2025 at 5:27 PM
That was a fucking awful half of football.

Everything I was afraid would happen, did happen. Frank set us up to defend, yet we still conceded and showed less than zero in attack.

As much as it pains me to say it, Arsenal fully deserve their lead.

5 defenders on the pitch, no one tracks Trossard's run - FFS.

My wife is an Arsenal fan, so is my daughter - as much to copy her mom as it is to annoy me.

My son is a Spurs fan - so we are going to have a family activity of watching the game together. This may not be a good idea. We shall see.

For today only, I do have a favourite child.
November 23, 2025 at 4:30 PM
I guess we are setting out not to lose the game. Frank has picked pretty much all our most experienced players , hopefully they can handle the atmosphere. And we at least have players on the bench that can affect the game.
But I fear this will be a stodgy performance. It's about the result though.

48/50 Ummet Ozcan & Otyken - Altay (Netherlands / Russia, 2023)

Ummet's Turkish heritage with a Dutch upbringing combining with indigenous Siberia folk combining for a unique sound - good luck defining this genre.
