But here are some pictures of the neighborhood where I grew up in DC. If this counts as “no trees or grass” then you are not living in observable reality

Even leaving that aside, “parks don’t count as trees and grass” is…certainly a take one could have

So first of all, I can tell you this does not accurately describe New York City. Like, large swaths of Manhattan maybe. That’s not what the other boroughs look like. Even Staten Island has no shortage of greenery. I’ve never been to Miami but it’s also not what Philly looks like outside downtown

If you believe “only the deep forest counts as trees and grass and nature woven into the fabric of the city is the same as cold sterile stone” then you are living in a different reality than the rest of us

Chris Van Hollen is mostly a boilerplate liberal and yet I haven’t seen a single leftist criticism of him because it’s pretty fucking clear which side he’s on

I have had this thought so many fucking times despite the fact I’d be the worst political candidate ever, just saying “fuck this guy” constantly about my opponent

Yeah like the Trump regime is reliably predictable in that they’re just going to do the most evil possible thing at all times for its own sake. But that’s not quite the case with senate dems! Different problems call for different tactics

I think every Dem that’s shown even a hint of squishiness needs to be primaried with the full force of whatever the left can muster. But I also think we don’t need to win more than a few of those. Most of these people other than the calcified ancients can be terrified into doing their jobs

In the case of SCOTUS, it’s somewhat of a moot argument because the answer is court reform regardless…but what to do about the Dems presents a different question

SCOTUS is a good example. It seems pretty clear to me that what motivates, say, ACB is very different from what motivates Alito. They often overlap but the tariffs case seemed to make pretty clear that it’s not 1:1.

There’s this pervasive and pernicious idea that every type of evil we’re seeing—the Trump regime, SCOTUS, the Dem senate caucus, etc—are all the same, and I think that’s wildly counterproductive. Different things motivate different groups here and the best way to fight your enemy is to understand it
