If the Epstein emails do anything -

- well, if they do anything, I hope they get a lot of criminals locked up -

- but if they do TWO things, I hope they also make people realize just how stupid wealthy people can afford to be.

@edwyntiong.com This is a drive-by "thank you" for pronouncing "conch" (as in "conch shell") correctly in Tangle Tower. :D

This. We are not going to go backwards on trans rights, or gay rights. We're not going to have secret police locking up innocent people for being alive.

Start calling your Democratic local offices: we are not voting for Gavin Newsome, either.
basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.

I wish Joe Rogan would do a podcast with an expert in lawn care, or plumbing a line, or anything his audience is already expert in, just so they can see how far off he is from reality.

I love that no matter how antisocial or outrageous a Japanese anime character is, it almost definitely has a very specific category it belongs to, and rules it operates by.

Gemini forced itself into my phone this morning, so I'm in the market for a different phone and a different digital assistant. If y'all have any recommendations I'd love to hear them.

Once again, I come to you to tell you "AI is effectively hitting predictive text over and over and over again instead of typing. It's barely constrained autocorrect."
Federal Judges— or staff, but same-same— used "AI" to summarize & draft rulings, issued them w/o checking the work, leading to basic factual errors, & thus undermining the facticity & validity of the rulings entire.

Gee. Who Could Have Foreseen. *stares directly into the camera like in the office*
Two federal judges say use of AI led to errors in US court rulings
Two federal judges admitted in response to an inquiry by U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley that members of their staff used artificial intelligence to help prepare recent court orders that Grassley called "error-ridden."

The people telling you "work/life balance is unreasonable" aren't going to pay for your work/life imbalance.

They just want more of your time for free.

Selling AI-generated books is effectively saying:

"We don't know why books are good, and we're betting you don't either."
Why? Who is this meant to be good for? Nobody wants your shit AI books, never mind 8,000 in a year. Just a terrible idea and a horrible road the publishing industry is heading down.

Two things can be true at the same time.

1) I can be a sensitive man who has generally rid himself of toxic masculine ideas

2) Every time Nate from Baby Steps falls and immediately goes full limp, I can dream about someone sending him to Maury Povitch drill instructor camp for disobedient teens.

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.
