The 2022 Bob’s Burgers Christmas episode may be one of my favorite episodes of any TV show of all time. (For reasons including, but not limited to, the delightful surprise voice actors they got for the episode.)

No one asked but my proposal to fix Toronto's slow new train is what I'm calling Ultimate Transit Priority: if your car gets in the way of the train, the train driver can use the train to push it out of the way

I’ve started listening to the audiobooks from the Heated Rivalry universe, and the narrator in the first couple of books makes some truly unhinged choices. Shane’s parents, famously of Ottawan extraction, both sound Texan? Kip sounds like a New York mob boss?

"It must be a caching issue" is a sentence invented by software developers so they don't have to say "I don't know how to fix it"

I am currently watching the Disney+ Christmas movie with the Jonas Brothers, in which Jesse Tyler Ferguson plays perhaps the creepiest Santa ever and it really feels like a fever dream

Both Alan Ritchson and Outlander being in my Wikipedia Wrapped is not something I’m proud of but it’s important to embrace who you are

The narrator of the audiobook version of the gay hockey book pronounces the city in Saskatchewan as “Ruh-gee-na” and now how am I supposed to trust anything he says

Life has few pleasures as delightful as a grilled cheese made with white bread and American cheese.

I was distantly aware of the Lewinsky scandal, but the first news story I really remember following was the Elian Gonzalez scandal. Followed shortly thereafter by the Bush/Gore election fiasco in Florida.
1. What was the first major news story you remember as a child?

You know, I didn’t appreciate it when I was there because it was 90 degrees outside, but one area in which Japan really got it right is the heated toilet seat.

I never have any desire to own a record player except during Charlie Brown Christmas season. It is, to me, the spiritual embodiment of analog music and I am cursèd to listen to it via something known as “Bluetooth” on a “streaming service”

My solution to daylight savings time is that from November-March we spring forward every day at 2p (everyone gets out of school/work earlier) and fall back every night at 2a (everyone gets an extra hour of sleep). This solves both the sunset and sunrise time debates, while only creating minor chaos

Today at my church two different gay people* spoke about why they have so much hope for the future of our church and it was so good and also would have broken 15-year-old me’a brain
(*full disclosure: I was one of the gay people)

Todd Rokita is the biggest loser in all of Indiana politics and that’s pretty incredible when Diego Morales and Mike Braun exist
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita has filed a lawsuit against Indianapolis Public Schools over its immigration policies, claiming they violate the state's anti-sanctuary law. IPS requires legal documentation before allowing federal agencies to enter its facilities.

"Incredible Dumbassery and Zero Catholics" would also be a great title for a history of the Church of England ca. the late 16th - early 19th centuries
now granted there was some dumbassery involved in that fire, but there is also some dumbassery involved in delaying essential restoration works for decades

maybe a lil bit less than the 1834 fire though, which was INCREDIBLE dumbassery and zero catholics
