Anthropic and Google now seem to get that the primary value people get out of AI is doing annoying work they don't want to do (coding, basic research, drafting emails, etc), OpenAI/XAI/Meta seem to still think image/video slop and search replacement are the future

i bet with like a handful of good engineers or even super interested novices who show mathematical/computer science aptitude and some claude max subscriptions and a year we could start to turn a lot of this around
it’s really frustrating how sometimes people want the world from the niche of tech i’m focused on but then also they don’t know people have been trying on this for ages and just not getting the funding or other social traction to finish it
