I respect Thompson's legacy a lot but one of the worst things about gonzo journalism (besides all the most annoying people you know say that's what they are) is that it means sometimes you just lie
Terry Gilliam talks about how FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS used Hunter S. Thompson's made up definition of adrenochrome, and how QAnon ran with it.

Comanche 3, Colorado’s newest coal plant has already been broken down *two full years* since it began burning crushed rocks in 2010. Now it will be offline another year.

I want more info about this beast, but even without much info I'm confident that this sort of rolling battery is going to become ubiquitous in many places and serve many purposes.
Inbox: NYPA and Cornell are showing off this mobile battery unit, which could provide an alternative to diesel generators.

Looks a lot bigger than your standard generator but it also packs a lot of energy — enough to power a stadium concert, or an average NY home for about a week

What a totally misleading partisan statement from The Wall Street Journal editorial board.

Biden oversaw record oil and gas production and pumping billions into renewables and nuclear.

Trump's crusade against offshore wind, meanwhile, is so aggressive even Big Oil is balking.

The world is on track for 2.8°C of warming by 2100. Not great, but it’s a much better outlook than before the Paris Agreement was set.
Chart: Carbon emissions are on a better — but not good — trajectory
Ten years after the Paris Agreement, the worst-case warming scenarios seem unlikely. But there’s still a lot of decarbonization left to do.
