Leeds away next. A tough game in normal circumstances. They have pace & power. They are direct, & physical. They score set pieces. They have a ferocious crowd behind them under the lights & have just beat Chelsea.

Szoboszlai isn’t going to bottom out anytime soon. He has plenty to give, as yet. But, if he’s asked to continually do everyone else’s work as well as his own, he will burn out. He’ll put in shit performances.

That first half last night reminded me of the worst of Brendan mixed in with Hodgson. I have a lot of time for Slot, but if that shit carries on, he’s finished. There’s no way that will cut it at Liverpool FC.

Carry on as we are & we don’t get top 4/5 & Slot is replaced in the summer, IMO. The club did not invest £450m on superb attacking talent to see it completely nullified by our own coach’s tactics, or to bore the Anfield crowd into submission.

A couple of WTF things I noticed with horror; Grav once again venturing forth as an 8 like he’s Stevie G without either the passing or shooting ability; a confused mess of a midfield with no clue how to get the ball to Wirtz; a horrifying lack of movement off the ball; Isak isolated; Gakpo.

I didn’t see anything good from the West Ham game implemented & taken further tonight, & I think that’s what has pissed me off most, tbh. We had consistency of team selection, & yet none of the patterns remained. I’ve rarely seen a more hesitant, confused setup.

We put in that type of display away at Leeds, & we will lose, IMO. It just didn’t make any sense. That first half in particular was particularly clueless football.
