Since reading The Rachel Incident in 2023 I have been WAITING for someone to do an adaptation of it so I'm extremely delighted to learn that there's going to be a miniseries of it that was just announced today

A queer troubled look passed across Baelor Breakspear's face, like a cloud passing before a sun. He raised his hand and touched the back of his head with two fingers, oh so lightly. And then he fell.

And a very happy evening to all of the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms TV fans who finally know why I was so emotionally gutted when I first read the book ten years ago :)

I think my main opinion on the Oscars this yea might end up being that The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, and It Was Just An Accident should somehow all be able to win Best International Film. I haven't seen the other nominees but those three are all INCREDIBLE and I can't pick between them.

This is a great post about Wuthering Heights, the book, and its various filmed adaptations: smartbitchestrashybooks.com/2026/02/what...

(Honestly, I hated the book when I read it as a teen, but this post actually made me consider, for the first time, re-reading it as an adult.)

This is very true about Ilia and it’s amazing how many ultra-wealthy old men are totally incapable of being this honorable

Friday the 13th at figure skating.

As a very casual enjoyer of figure skating I thought the narrative from today would surely be “everyone did so well, but some people did better than others” and instead we got the curse of hubris and nerves??? Wild times!

Did someone curse the ice during the men's figure skating because DAMN that was a lot of falls

Having deeply immersed my brain in Olympic figure skating this week which is is having the side of effect of making me really want to rewatch Yuri on Ice…

Please know that whenever I am watching Olympic ice dance routines a part of my mind is always thinking about when we're going to get a prestige TV miniseries adaptation of The Favorites by Layne Fargo

Ariela Barer has replaced Odessa A’zion in A24’s ‘Deep Cuts.’

A’zion previously left the role after backlash over her casting and the character’s specified ethnic background, which more closely matches Barer’s.

Never thought I would find myself going to bat for Hindley Earnshaw but the news that his character has been cut from the upcoming Wuthering Heights movie has utterly baffled me. Like he's not at all a nice person but he is…very important to the plot?????

Possibly controversial opinion but my household has decided we liked Shun Sato's figure skating routine more than Ilia Malinin's because none of us could actually figure out what Malinin was artistically trying to convey by skating to notes app poetry voiceover dressed as a fantasy villain.

It’s funny watching A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms after rewatching Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell last year bc it means Bertie Carvel has to me gone from excitable young protagonist to level-headed mentor in fantasy TV adaptation more or less instantly
