sorry i know a lot of people on here are not fans of ilia but the quad axel is so beautiful it kinda makes me want to cry. i just keep thinking about how annoyed i'd be if some guy kept winning because he was muscling out some ugly-ass barely rotated quad axel, but instead it's absolutely stunning

i think skating scores should be fair and rational and applied equally across the board until one of my faves flops and then i don't fucking care give her 50 extra points for existing

The step sequence is a highlight, so I was thinking of the levels but also just letting myself express it, and think I did it naturally.
Today I went in with the mindset that I am the best, and that really helped. It felt a bit like the Beijing Olympic short program.
