Drove past this church on my way to my parents' home from the hospital - where my grandma is currently spending what will likely be the last few days of her life. I read to her from the Gospel of John and 1 Corinthians, and she said so calmly, "I love Jesus. I'm 90 years old and I still love Jesus."

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

Modern Times is a South Minneapolis staple, and a personal favorite haunt. For the duration of the occupation they're renaming themselves Post Modern Times and going to a donation-only model. Everyone but ICE can eat for free.
