In 2008 I was at a conference at Harvard watching him comment on a panel when he got a phone call, said “it’s the White House,” got up and started to leave. As he did, someone said rather loudly “ well now we’re all fucked.” that hits a bit harder now.

Robbie is very intentional about logging off and touching grass. He only owns a flip phones and his hobbies include swimming at the quarry with his buddies. Be like Robbie.

i found the positive depiction of masculinity we have all been searching for. his name is robbie and he robs trap houses for fun with his buddies. he’s a loving father with dreams of giving his children a beautiful home full of comfort, safety, and natural splendor. his brother was in a biker gang.

arent there like 40 million accounts on this website? youre asking for a level of collective action so significant that if it were possible this would be the least of our problems.

Why don’t we, the largest group of people, not simply eat the powerful weirdos?
there's a lot of good reasons to think structurally and systemically.

but part of why we do this is because we don't want to admit that, at heart, a small group of weird people are able to wield so much unaccountable and unconscionable power because we, the vast larger group of people, allow it
“You have to see how the interests of capital steer it towards certain outcomes based on…“

Shut up, nerd. They all have meetings in Dr. Evil’s underground lair petting hairless cats and cackling.

that meme about weird nerds jumping in front of bullets for elon but the weird nerds are SCOTUS and elon is the economy
The Supreme Court just might save Trump from himself
And save you $1,000 in the process.

“the ideal subject of a totalitarian society”

too wordy?
We gotta have a clear term for people so cynical they become gullible.

what’s the word for cope but you’re coping about how good news is actually meaningless (and therefore in a sense confirmation of bad news) because you’re terrified to feel hopeful again?

"When voters are read direct quotes from Platner’s since-deleted Reddit posts, he loses to Collins by double digits."
EMILYs List poll: Platner will lose Maine Senate race
The Maine Senate race is all but a must-win for Democrats looking to take back the Senate.

Much as someone else pointed out on here, there's a difference between the Archie Bunker racism that America is comfortable with and the Nazi race science pervasive on the right

i think it will because there’s a difference between misogyny and patriarchal patrimonialism and while the two are often allies there are wedge points between them.
Raise your hand you think evidence of Trump’s involvement with Epstein’s abhorrent debauchery will meaningfully damage Trump?

I went to meet the 'Rockstar 31', the developers who were suddenly fired from their work on GTA 6 for what the studio has described as gross misconduct.

That's not what the workers call it though. They have another couple of words they prefer to use: union busting.
