I hope someone draws this wonderful story about Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and the power of the arts to help us see things differently, to the attention of our Education Secretary. Do read it, it will lift your spirits.

What does ChatGPT “think” about AI safety in medicine?

In the latest video in my series, Coding4Docs, I interviewed an AI avatar of myself, giving the LLM’s answers.

#OTD 1867, Marie Curie was born.

During WWI, Curie created a vehicle that contained a hospital bed, a generator, an X-ray machine and photographic darkroom equipment. These “petite Curies" (below) could be driven right up to the Front. Curie also helped train 150 women as radiology technicians.

Radiology meets rap - check out this video created by Paymon Zomorodian from RadBytes, with captions added by me. This rap is now well and truly stuck in my head.

And when Paymon asked the community for suggestions for a name for this new rap group, someone suggested 2PACs. Genius!

My dad told me a story about having a drink with Mr Lovell at some local dive bar when this sequence was being filmed for The Man who Fell to Earth back in the 1970's.
My dad said Mr. Lovell had a lot to say about space and what he saw there...
I'll leave it at that.
Rest in peace, spaceman.

As a radiologist, many keep hearing “run for the hills, the machines are coming!”

My advice is: embrace #AI, and grow the field forward.

@curtlanglotz.bsky.social said it best: “AI won’t replace a radiologist. But a radiologist with AI will replace a radiologist without AI.”
