Ah yes, the “witch hunt” that comes when one does not think like the majority. 😅 *sigh* #OfficePolitics
T2. Personally, we need to bolster the confidence of the staff and empower them to share their experiences by acknowledging and validating them. This cannot work in a authoritarian leadership. Jobs are hard to come by in this economy, so people can get tight-lipped. #healthxph
T2. two settings: In a group, there should be an avenue to say things anonymously, like in an online bulletin board or an open forum. Oftentimes, it can fairly common to have ideas or comments shot down because someone in the group opposes the contributor, impeding real honest feedback. #healthxph
T1. Talk travels fast, and if your ideas are dissenting, or controversial, people might peg you to be a nuisance or menace, rather than an agent of change (for the better). I wouldn’t want to be misconstrued as an irreverent or disrespectful person because of ideas. #healthxph
Let’s go to T1. Feel free to jump into the convo anytime! #healthxph
Hello ma’am Iris, good evening! Hello #Healthxph friends! I’m sorry for the delay, I just finished with work… catching up with the T’s now… :)
T3. Housing and book allowance, as well as easier access to training institutions, and training programs abroad, to facilitate learning. #healthxph
Let us move on to T3. Aside from legislation (we have the Doktor para sa Bayan Act), what other kind of support do you think the "doktor para sa bayan" would need? #healthXPH
correction: not necessary. #healthxph
T2. I always believed that when you choose this path, you really have to be extra dedicated. In an environment where specialization is a norm, individuals who want to serve probably had a positive experience when they were rotating, so I think pre-graduation training change is not good. #healthxph
considering that "doktor para sa bayan" are doctors of the people, they should develop the skills to communicate well in a language that patients understand. #healthXPH
Let's move to T2. How should these "doktor para sa bayan" be trained differently from other medical students? #HealthXPH

Where a lot of medical school graduates go abroad to practice, how do we train these doctors to serve the country?
In my home province, they have a scholarship for medical students where they study for four years, and render service for four years. #healthxph
Yes, I agree.

These are passionate and nationalistic doctors who hope to serve their communities, reaching geographically isolated areas in the country. #healthXPH

Each region should have a medical school offering medical scholarships for "doktor para sa bayan".
T1. I'd say they were very dedicated individuals who commit their time and years to achieve very noble goals. Very nationalistic leanings. #healthxph
let's start with T1. #HealthXPH

What attributes do you expect a "doktor para sa bayan" to have and how do they manifest these characteristics?
Hallo! Catching up! I just got back from the hospital :) #healthxph
Hello #healthxph fam and friends! Steph from dumaguete joining in!

We all once believe physicians are superhumans, and they are not , or shouldn't be affected by the unhealthy practices that we advice our patients against. #healthxph
T1. I can attest to this for sure... when I was active, and well-rounded and socializing (and engaging in many hobbies), I was happier and more energetic with work. When I decided to devote all my time to patient care, I got sick more often, and paradoxically, missed more days of work. #healthxph

First, Physician wellness education is a must and not just an option. Second, working environment standards must be set. We advised patients against long hours of work, proper nutrition and even sleep or exercise. But our own work environment doesn't seem to allow us. #Healthxph
Here's our T3: As a Collective, What Can Physician Societies and the Government Health Sector Do to Help Physicians Do Better in This Regard? #Healthxph
T3. In my community, the NOMS have different health conscious groups, and they have different health activities on many days of the week. :-) #healthxph

T2. I'm glad you brought up the wellness scale in your article, we use it in the clinics, but not on ourselves, usually for patients. Also, you get feedback from friends and family. Also, the scheduling becomes smoother. #healthxph
Here's T2: What Can the Physician Do to Identify Their Own Lifestyle Changes to Improve Patient Outcomes? #healthxph
Thanks for letting me know, Jim! :-)
I have medium, but I wanted to ask if Substack is a better platform, based on your experience. :-) #healthxph
I realized this. I mean, "sitting is the new smoking", allegedly, and since I do a lot of sitting for the work I do, I've developed a muffin top, and I find it embarrassing, especially if I advocate for better physical health in relation to mental health. #healthxph

T1. Short answer, Yes . Based on more recent formal research and my 20 plus years of experience. The filipino culture is very strong on role modeling though various factors comes into play too. #Healthxph
