Russians have some clearly identifiable obsessions. Like about UK (of all weapon-sending UA allies, for some reason), and Bellingcat (of all media reporting on the opposite side, for some reason)
This is like some Russian disinformation singularity.

On 11 November 1918, in the Compiègne Forest, the Allied and German delegations agreed to a 20-year cease fire. Across Europe, the date carries weight such as Armistice Day, Remembrance Day, Independence Day.

Wonder if they'll do away with medical internships in Poland, where it's the student that is paying.
Parliament is cracking down on unfair traineeships.

New EU rules are in the works to ensure trainees gets paid properly, a clear and detailed contract, proper health cover, and mentoring.

Happy #InternationalInternsDay!

Narrator: the GDP of Belarus, and adequately the quality of life there, is way below Ukraine's.
"Ukrainians, please come to us — we will gladly welcome you. We will provide your families and children with the same quality of life as Belarusians, in terms of education and healthcare." - Lukashenko.

And, of course, the Ukrainians immediately packed up and went.

Huge outage of Amazon/AWS. Cloud services affected. And many, many dependent websites/systems or services are impacted. A difficult time for Amazon engineers!

I got a game idea: Read That Redemption.

You just read the books you were supposed to read ages ago, so that you can finally redeem yourself by saying "I read that"

If you have any doubts about who started what and who retaliates for what 👇
Last night we "retaliated" against Ukraine by doing exactly the same things we've done for more than 3 years.

Orbán literary drained resources meant for Hungarian families, farmers, and industry and funneled them to family-owned businesses. Evil Jabba strikes again.
Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán stated he would not allow Ukraine to join the EU, claiming it would drain resources meant for European families, farmers, and industry. He criticized bureaucrats, suggesting they disregard where Europeans' money goes.

My sympathies for president Zelenskyy for having to endure this slander.
From „I will solve it in 24h“ to „Putin has gone absolutely crazy“.

I've had this view for a long time; it's great to see someone capture it in such a clear manner.
But my experience is that pirates often would 𝘯𝘰𝘵 have paid for the software. They would have gone without, or used something else.

Huge miss. Art and craft are 2 different things, and so are the concepts intellectual and physical property; Ikea chairs are still designed by people with artistic skill, and that results in design which is IP. This is what AI slop is about, not the manufacturing part.
dame.is dame @dame.is · May 11
if AI generations are slop, then so are mass produced goods which are made of cheap material — your $50 ikea chair theoretically “stole” work from a human craftsperson who in days gone by would have made the chair locally by hand with quality material that cost 10x as much

Yeah, the key question here is how the hell did they fit the bolt from underneath (as its head is down there), together with the washer.

They must have drilled an even more massive hole for logistics, or simply used volcanoes as entrypoints.

Reminder - ceasefire ≠ peace. He's talking territorial concessions with a perspective of further Russian aggression.
Putin’s meeting with Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, lasted more than four hours.

Meanwhile, Reuters reports that about a week ago, Witkoff told Trump that the quickest way to achieve a ceasefire would be to give Russia four regions of Ukraine.
