People keep posting about how “maybe Leavitt will learn a lesson now that it’s happening to her sister-in-law” and…you are missing a key point. The woman is Leavitt’s brother’s *ex* & Leavitt’s entire family - including her brother & his new wife - seem pretty eager to deport this woman.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...
‘Brazil is not her home.’ Mother of Karoline Leavitt’s nephew, brought to US as child, detained by ICE. - The Boston Globe
Bruna Ferreira, 33, was brought to the United States as a child in 1998. She is now in removal proceedings in Louisiana.

We call this stonewalling. And for the record, low and pro-bono lawyers are "volunteers" and we are required to do PLENTY, paid or unpaid. Unpaid volunteers on boards of directors too. We are expected to, and DO, do quite a lot. Fuck that guy.
yeah this dude is just a real civic minded nonideological volunteer with no agenda yessir www.insidehighered.com/news/quick-t...

it’s so weird to me how so many liberals are more willing to blame mental illness for trump’s actions than the man being the biggest piece of shit human being on this side of the mississippi

I have so little confidence in Virginia’s leaders to deliver anything substantive on this issue. If they were more concerned about solving problems rather than winning the Richmond suburbs, we would start seeing results.

Ditto Ford. Pardon of Nixon was catalyst for lawless executives and their bagmen
Barack Obama said he wanted to look forward and not relitigate the crimes of the Bush administration regarding torture and Guantanamo Bay. That allowed for the drone war to proliferate and for even more expansion of executive power under Trump.
There are going to be prominent Democrats and mainstream media voices who insist that we have to "turn the page" and "forgive and forget" and they should all be roundly ignored, if not mercilessly mocked.

Great news for our neighbors to our north, and really (in my not very humble opinion) good for the entire Commonwealth of Virginia. #NoDataCenters www.insidenova.com?fbclid=IwVER...

This week, I withdrew from a speaking engagement at a public university because they sent me a list of prohibited “words & concepts.” I will not humor this censorship. It does a disservice to the stories I’m discussing & the audience, who deserve unfettered access to information & conversation.

Oh they don’t like the whistles? Hey everyone, they don’t like the whistles. If you use them it makes the armed goons sad.
Kristi Noem is mad that protesters are blowing whistles at ICE agents.

I don't know if the Epstein vote is a one-off or not, but I've been thinkin of that very thin, translucent sticker film that comes when you order, say, a new monitor. It's devilishly hard to get the first little bit of the corner to separate but once you do, the entire thing pulls off very easily.
