What is happening in Venezuela now? There is total media silence. I can’t believe everyone there just accepts what has happened, even if many didn’t support the previous regime. There must be some unrest, some resistance to a US takeover surely ?

And he has only ever paid back £2,722.

He now faces up to 2 years in prison if he fails to pay back £197k within the next 3 months.

I feel I should consume more BBC politics to understand better what most people will be taking in in the UK, and how the BBC are dealing with it. But every time I try I just can't bear it. The combination of superficiality and toe-curling ceding of the ground to populism is too much.

NHS appointments

Please, if you are not able to make an appoint, cancel ahead of time.

If gives the NHS time to find someone else to take that appointment.

Like my wife, who yesterday had a call asking if she could make an appointment this morning.

It's how we can all help cut waiting lists.

This notion of 'politics as drama or entertainment', and then the chase for audience numbers, rather than 'how our society is structured' is where things went wrong at the BBC.
This is truly awful prose

Northern Rail Link. Linking 5 Major Northern Cities gets the go ahead.

Wind Power. Ed Miliband brings Britain significantly closer to Net Zero in 2030.
