Occasionally we get tiny Goldcrests in the garden, hunting for insects amongst the evergreens. They’re resident in Britain, but some Goldcrests cross the North Sea to escape the harsher continental winters; people used to believe they rode on the backs of migrating Woodcocks. (watercolour)

My choices for 2025 Colour of the Year
Rin is an OC owned by me (Stasanie) Rin is a Yinshin, a closed species created by Mathilde Périé Rin is depicted here in her exalted form. She has a unicorn-like appearance with a thick dragon-like tail covered in golden scales. The front half of her body is dark maroon in colour, and the hind part of her body is pink. She has a light pink mane covered in hellebore flowers. She stands facing away from the viewer against a dark sunset sky. Creamy clouds billow up in the distance, and a pink willow hangs overhead. In the foreground are more of her affinity flowers - the hellebore. There is a box with a colour swatch in it for a dark coral colour called "Bittersweet Memory" This artwork was created for Nexus and features the OCs Perun (who belongs to nexus) and Fern (who belongs to me). Perun and Fern are enoki, a closed species created by Helixel. Two demon women sit kneeling in a forest clearing. They are surrounded by bushes full of blue roses. Perun, the blue one, holds a small bouquet of fresh roses she has picked - holding one to her nose to take in the aroma. Meanwhile Fern, the green one, braids Perun’s hair. Been listening to So Much Audio Drama lately and I would give my left arm for an audio drama WRITING conference. We're all about the sound design and the voice acting, and I think we're there on that! But the WRITING my friends. It's a different skill to what everyone thinks it is.
