There are better charities out there. Much better.

Our favorite pepperoni, which we buy often, is no longer being sold at our local grocery store. We thought it was Italian made and maybe tariffs raised the price.

We looked at the package. Turns out it is made 1 block from our house. We can walk over and buy it directly from them!

I don’t understand why people ask you a question if they don’t want an honest answer. I was asked by someone what I would like for Christmas, but apparently a secluded castle on the Scottish coast “isn’t realistic.”

I know we’ve been talking about the 25th Amendment being invoked for years now, but we should probably be talking about it a lot more and a lot more seriously right now.
Couple of things here:

1. Trump says he took another cognitive test recently

2. In front of "large numbers of doctors and experts"

3. He called the examinations "long...and very boring"

4. If you're given 3 cognitive exams in one year by panels of doctors, something is VERY wrong with you

Michael's art supply store locally has instituted self-checkout only. My elderly mother couldn't figure out the system, she couldn't pay with cash money. There were no human employees to help. She abandoned her purchases and went home. This is a horrible business practice.

I often think of pursuing my PhD, but at other times I catch myself cutting bread with the dull side of the knife and I realize that maybe I should simply be content that I’ve made it this far.

Don’t allow anyone to tell you that reading Edgar Allan Poe in a dimly-lit café on a cobblestone side street in Vienna during a raging snowstorm whilst enjoying cappuccinos and croissants “doesn’t classify” as self-care.

Amazon, please stop asking me if books I bought month ago met my expectations. I still have unread books I bought in 2012. Be real.

I hope someone draws this wonderful story about Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and the power of the arts to help us see things differently, to the attention of our Education Secretary. Do read it, it will lift your spirits.

oh my god
Senator Kelly is correct.

Plus a Public Service Announcement:

KEY section of Department of Defense's Law of War Manual is 18.3.2.1.

The VERY rule on the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders gives as its paradigmatic example of what is "clearly illegal:
"orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."
